Job Description
Lucas Professional Search Group is currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager for an internationally known facility in Windsor. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who can provide technical support and processes with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure world class manufacturing standards.
Responsibilities:
· Managing the maintenance and engineering department in a 3 shift production environment that includes both salary and hourly team members (supervisors/skilled trades)
· Improving the flow of existing processes and establishing best practices
· Ensuring standards and Lean Manufacturing principles are applied consistently within plant and organization
· Partnering with the Management to establish capital plans for current equipment and future equipment requirements that support manufacturing
· Ensuring new equipment from Project Engineering meets legislative and process required standards for acceptance, technically and for rate (units per hour)
· Participating and supporting immediate closure of equipment issues related to equipment uptime and operation
Qualifications:
· Engineering Degree and a Professional Engineer license (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical)
· Demonstrated ability to manage projects and solve problems in an urgent manner
· 5-10+ years of technical supervisory/management experience of medium to large teams in a large manufacturing facility
· Experience working in a zero downtime environment, with cross functional teams
· Total Productive Maintenance, precision equipment and automation
· Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement Experience
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)
· Total Productive Maintenance, precision equipment and automation experience
· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
