Job Description
VSI - London, ON The Project Manager (PM) primary responsibility is the management of software implementation projects. The PM works with key client stakeholders and sponsors to manage project scope, schedule, cost, risks, and quality. The PM is directly responsible for management of the project implementation team and associated work packages that help deliver software products that enable our clients to be more successful.

- Manage project plans
- Identify project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements;
- Identify project scope and plan, including requirements, work-breakdown-structure, work-packages, deliverables, outputs, schedule, service levels, ongoing project reporting requirements,
- Manage project scope, schedule, costs, risk and quality
- Establish collaborative tools and processes for enabling efforts across teams
- Manage project reporting and client invoicing according to plan
- Responsible for achieving revenue and profitability targets
- Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; manage change requests; develop methods to monitor project or area progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary.

- Liaise with project stakeholders and sponsors and gain deliverable sign-offs
- Manage and staff project personnel
- Assemble/recruit project personnel and identify project resource assignments

- Minimum 50% travel required with this position
Education:
- Post-secondary degree in computer science, social services, or related discipline
- 2+ years of project management experience
- social services industry experience, preferable child welfare an asset
- Excellent business acumen, relationship building and communication
- Technical background and understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Proficient with Microsoft Project
- Desirable: PMP Certification or Prince2
- Desirable: exposure to Microsoft SQL Sever and .Net technologies
- Desirable: exposure to Agile software development practices, processes, and methodologies
