Job Description
Assembler
We are Baldor Electric Canada a member of the ABB Group, a leading manufacturer of large AC electric motors. Employees are expected to perform any or all operations in the assembly of any size A-C machine with minimum instructions. Assemble and fit component parts such as anti-friction, sleeve and oil bearings assemblies, fit bearing seals, slingers and prepare and install various types of couplings. Assemble and fit rotor in stators, bearings, bearing enclosures and brackets on frames. Install and fit various covers, shrouds, hoods and baffles. Install and wire space heaters, thermocouple RTD’s and auxiliary equipment on machines. Assemble, and wire machines (wiring diagrams). Layout, drill and tap conduit boxes and hoods. Assemble clutches and CST products. Fit parts to a close tolerance as specified including fits by selecting proper tools, bits and taps, etc. Read and interpret complex assembly/manufacturing drawings.
Shipper
Clean, prepare and spray paint motors and motor parts. Attach nameplates, wrap motors, make and assemble crates, and assist in loading. Mix paint and primers to specifications.
