The Thames Talbot Land Trust and ReForest London invite applications for the contract full time position of Environmental Network Coordinator
Position Title: Environmental Network Coordinator
Reports to: The Executive Director of the Thames Talbot Land Trust
About us:
The Thames Talbot Land Trust (TTLT) was incorporated in 2000. The name of the Trust expresses both the geographical context and cultural heritage of the lands along the course of the Thames River and the historic Talbot Trail. Our geographic area of focus includes the London / Middlesex and Elgin County regions and their contingent watersheds. Our objective is to protect lands and waters of ecological, agricultural, cultural value through a variety of mechanisms. These include - but are not restricted to - land acquisition, conservation easements, landscape restoration and education.
ReForest London is a charitable non-profit organization that is dedicated to partnering with our community to plant One Million Trees to enhance environmental and human health in the Forest City. ReForest London aims to empower community groups, businesses, and individuals to plant and care for trees, improve London’s environmental health through planting trees and shrubs in natural areas, parks, yards and along streets and educate Londoners about the importance of trees and how to plant and care for them.
The Position:
We are seeking a dynamic individual who is inspired by our cause and wants to use their unique set of skills in a role that is challenging and offers potential for growth. The ability to balance diverse workloads and to meet deadlines despite pressure and periodic interruptions is critical as is the desire to make a contribution in a team environment.
Reporting to the Executive Director of the Thames Talbot Land Trust and working with Director of Programs with ReForest London, you will be responsible for the creation and coordination a network of environmental groups in London..
More specifically the Environmental Network Coordinator will:
1. Infrastructure 6. Sustainability
2. Fundraising 7. Organizational focus / Mission drift
3. Capacity 8. Cooperation / partnerships
4. Training and skills development 9. Community engagement
5. Awareness and marketing 10. Having fun / celebrating success
Skills and Abilities:
· University Degree or College Diploma in Not for Profit management or a related field or equivalent combination of skills/experience.
· Degree in Environmental Science or related experience an asset
Additional Information:
Position Details:
Compensation: $37,500.00 annually.
Position type: Full time
One year contract with option for renewal. This position is fully funded for 3 years.

- Work with more than 25 environmental groups located in London Ontario to create an Environment Network
- Assist in the creation of an advisory committee for the Environmental Network
- Plan and execute networking events and training sessions for members of the Environmental Network
- Maintain an online portal with information about members of the Environmental Network and their activities and events
- Communicate and share information with members of the Environmental Network in an efficient and timely manner
- Work with members of the Environmental Network and partners to plan and execute volunteer recruitment events
- Provide assistance to members of the Environmental Network in the planning and execution of events and projects

Skills and Abilities:
- A strong commitment to the environment
- Demonstrated successful event planning and implementation of events
- Proven ability to collaborate successfully with volunteers and community leaders
- Excellent research skills
- Strong ability to analyze, plan, initiate and complete projects in a timely basis
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of social media applications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint)
- A positive outlook with an inspirational vision
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively on multiple tasks and meet deadlines
· University Degree or College Diploma in Not for Profit management or a related field or equivalent combination of skills/experience.
· Degree in Environmental Science or related experience an asset
Additional Information:
- This position is provided through a collaborative project of the Thames Talbot Land Trust and ReForest London.
- This position will require occasional attendance at occasional weekend and evening events.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle will be considered an asset.
Position Details:
