Junior Business Analyst (#BAN0009)
As a part of Business Analysis team, Junior Business Analyst’s role is to gather, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs. This includes interviewing users and gathering/compiling user requirements to convey to Development team throughout the software lifecycle, testing and training. Junior Business Analyst will help support the development process, and ensure that project deliverables are met according to specifications. Elicitation of requirements from customers and business case completion will be significant deliverables.The ideal candidate possesses:

- Proven analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Professionalism and ability to liaise with colleagues to gather information and facts
Principal Accountabilities
- Gather and document requirements and ideas from different user groups
- Develop understanding of business needs through discussion and interviews
- Review enhancement requests and customer inquiries
- Assess customers’ needs, identify and document requirements critical to achieving business objectives
- Create the functional/technical requirements along with user interface requirements
- Recommend solutions to specific business problems and improvements to business processes
- Communicate solutions to customers, and prepare technical description for custom development quotations
- Beta testing as required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of College Diploma in Business, Computer Science or related discipline
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively and make public presentations
- Proficient skills and experience in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- CBAP/CCBA designation preferred but not required
- Experience as Business Analyst or similar role
- Experience in technical writing and/or document management preferred
- Product roadmap experience – ability to elicit mid- and long-term product plans
- Familiarity with SDLC/CMM/ISO principles
- Experience with up-to-date task-mapping/mind-mapping tools
- Experience with estimating and resourcing
- Experience working with users developing business requirements
- Experience with process management and process change implementation
- Aviation experience/knowledge a plus
- Fluency in other languages is an asset
