Job Description
Express is currently recruiting for our client in London / St. Thomas area for a Senior Quality Engineer with a background in the automotive industry. This position reports to the Quality Manager and would be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of quality systems in line with TS16949. The function of this role is pivotal in continuous improvement activities pertaining to the quality function within the business and is critical in maintaining sound customer relationships.

Position duties (included but not limited to):
- Lead / Assist in the development and implementation of Quality systems including control plans etc.
- Manage measurement issues, production GR&R approval / analysis; pursuing resolution of internal and external quality issues
- Perform annual GR&R, CP and FMEA reviews where required
- Analyze data and information from various sources to resolve quality issues
- PPAP preparation and submissions and product engineering
- Act as liaison when required between the customer and the facility team to ensure issues are resolved with urgency
- Facilitate discussions and actively participate in the APQP process
- Train team members in quality systems and procedures, working with team to ensure all plant goals are met, promoting customer satisfaction
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline; Technical College Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years’ quality assurance experience within automotive / aerospace manufacturing
- Quality Engineering Designation (ASQ, CQE, CQM or Equivalent)
- Experience as a Certified ISO / TS Lead Auditor certification or a Certified ISO / TS Internal Auditor
- Comfortable in a fast moving and ever changing environment
- Strong communication skills and able to communicate effectively at all levels
