Summary of position
Jones has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, self-driven individual to join our team as Controller for our Healthcare division. This position has dual reporting responsibilities: to the Director, Finance for corporate reporting, asset management, requests for capital investment and compliance matters, and to the divisional leader for finance-related support, analysis and recommendations related to divisional operations, strategy and investments.

Proficiency with SAP; full cycle accounting and financial reporting skills; cost accounting knowledge; working knowledge of GAAP; cash management techniques; mathematical perception; computer literacy with Microsoft Office products; strong analytical skills; strong written and verbal communication, organization and prioritization skills; ability to manage a team; exhibits high credibility and trustworthiness to co-workers; acts with honesty and integrity; attends to detail; tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining positive and productive relationships; and, able to handle a large volume of work.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Ownership of and responsibility for the completeness and accuracy of the divisional accounting records, including all essential accounting duties
- Maintenance of divisional costing records including acting upon unusual or material variances to ensure accurate and sufficient margin levels
- Work closely with Senior Vice President, Healthcare on key strategic initiatives and pro-actively participate and support corporate and divisional strategic goals and directions
- Provide accurate margin reporting within each product line and customer channel ensuring proper allocation for all customer and vendor rebates and discounts
- Manage and maintain processes, procedures and financial models to ensure timely cost and cost-to-service estimates and pricing recommendations
- Lead financial performance forecasting for the division
- Review product line financial statements and financial reports for completeness and accuracy
- Deliver accurate monthly and quarterly reporting to the Director, Finance and Senior Vice President, Healthcare on departmental performance and expenses within the Healthcare division, proactively identifying areas of concern and opportunities for improvement
- Develop internal systems to track key performance metrics as determined in conjunction with the Senior Vice President, Healthcare
- Ensure adequate systems of internal control have been established
- Ensure sound processes are in place for working capital management, including:
- Monitoring of inventory levels
- Establishing systems to ensure all billings and collections are completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Monitoring aged assets and recommending actions to convert to cash
- Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as advised by the Director, Finance
- Prepare and maintain divisional working papers in support of the audit of bank reports, annual financial statements and preparation of corporate tax returns
- Coordinate the preparation/implementation and monitoring of long-term and annual financial plans, budgets and 12-month rolling forecasts for the division
- Responsible for the completeness and accuracy of financial information within capital investment requests, including return on investment calculations, vetting of all financial values, and review of financial assumptions for validity
- Assume full people management and development responsibilities, including personal goal development, goal setting, discipline and HR administration
- Ensure compliance of division and subordinates with all relevant corporate policies
- Manage and safeguard divisional assets
- Special projects as directed by the Chief Financial Officer or Director, Finance
- Other duties and responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the Director, Finance and Senior Vice President, Healthcare
Experience and Education (diploma, degree, or professional designation):
- Professional accounting designation (CPA)
- 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
