Job Description
We are an Automotive Parts Manufacturing Plant seeking a Weekend Production Supervisor who will work weekend shifts, with the availability to work other shifts during the week where alternate coverage may be required.
SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Leadership position which Supervises all aspects in respect to manufacturing of automotive parts
- Coordinate and schedule activities of Production Associates and daily production requirements, conduct pre-shift meetings, as well as be responsible for support departments
- Preparation of job evaluations which measure the performance and contributions of Production Associates while ensuring good morale, coaching and positive reinforcement of associates' efforts
- Approval of Production Associates' hours in the payroll system
- Ensure effective On-The-Job training for new Associates
- Good working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and ensure safe work practices within the company
- Provide input and assist in developing cost saving ideas, Kaizen, CI Projects and 5S initiatives
- College diploma and/or working towards Industrial Management Certificate a definite asset
- Several years experience in automotive assembly and manufacturing
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position
