Columbia Sportswear Canada LP is seeking an Inventory Control Analyst
 
The Inventory Control Analyst will report to the Global Inventory Control manager.  They will maintain and improve the integrity of the Columbia Sportswear Canada Distribution Centre’s inventory records by recording all inventory transactions and tracing all stock movement.  They will implement appropriate inventory transaction controls for monitoring and maintaining accuracy.  Additionally, they will contribute to the smooth and efficient distribution of Columbia Sportswear product by auditing all incoming, outgoing and internal inventory control activities.
 
Duties include maintenance of internal control procedures ensuring related inventory transactions are accurately completed for all Columbia Sportswear Canada operations; coordination of month end reporting cutoffs and physical year end activities related to Canada’s inventory operations; investigation and resolution of all variances resulting from end of month reconciliation; implementation of policies and procedures that ensure inventory receipt and transfers are properly and accurately accounted for; monitor and perform inventory control activities on a daily basis and evaluate day-to-day inventory problems through communication with department supervisors and analysis of systems reports; and coordination of cycle count programs for all Columbia Sportswear Canada DC inventory locations.
 
Additionally, they will assist the Director of Operations Accounting & Finance and other management in larger scope projects regarding inventory analysis; research and resolve monthly variances in inventory between WM and SAP; and advise Maintenance and IS when terminal and system malfunctions occur.
 
The successful candidate must maintain accuracy and attention to detail while using distribution centre computer systems.  They must also maintain positive open lines of communication with all Columbia management, staff and other departments.  The candidate must additionally have the ability to cope with a stressful work environment and cordially interact with co-workers to accomplish common tasks. 
 
Candidates must have the ability read, write and speak English, count and perform basic math and possess basic computer skills or the ability to be trained on the computer.  They also must have the physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time on concrete, perform repetitive arm/shoulder movement and regularly lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
 
 A high school diploma or equivalent is required.  Two to three years of inventory control experience and working knowledge of the Distribution Centre production process is required.
