RECORDS CENTRE AND LEARNING SUPPORT SERVICES - SUMMER STUDENT POSITION
One (1) student is required to assist with a large project for the TVDSB Records Centre. The project will focus primarily on the organization, maintenance, and retention of electronic student records. Duties will include 1) extracting pages from a large PDF file and then creating individual files and 2) renaming files to align with naming conventions. An interest in technology or document management systems would be an asset. Candidates must be detail-oriented and be able to follow both verbal and written instructions. This position will require the candidate to be able to work independently with little supervision and can be done remotely if deemed suitable by Supervisor. Position will involve sitting for long periods of time while working on a computer. There are no physical requirements for this job. This position is open to students returning to post-secondary institutions in the fall.
Candidates must be 16 years of age or older, currently attending school full time and must be returning to school full time in 2024 September. Please note that if you do not have proof of enrollment for 2024 September at this time, TVDSB will be able to extend an offer with a proof of enrollment as a condition of continued employment.
Dates of Employment: 2024 May 13 to 2024 August 23
Location: 951 Leathorne Street (Possibly Hybrid Option)
Hours of Work: 35 hour per week
Monday-Friday: 0830 -1600 with a ½ hour unpaid lunch
Rate of Pay: $16.55 per hour plus 4 % vacation pay (over 18 years of age)
Expiry Date: 2023 December 19
