This Part time Computer Sales Associate position is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who can work effectively with store management to increase sales and grow our business by offering solutions to our customers that meet their needs. The Computer Sales Associate will need to be outgoing, friendly, and easily communicate to drive sales and brand awareness. The Computer Sales Associate is expected to possess extensive knowledge of computer and technology products.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the retail store

• Ask questions to determine their interest in buying computers and tablets

• Inquire what needs they require in a computer or system hardware

• Suggest possible solutions in desktops and laptops, after determining customers’ needs

• Explain each suggested model’s features and benefits

• Operate computer to provide customers with information on “feel” and “look” of the computer

• Handle product demonstrations and answer correlating questions

• Assist customers in choosing the right computer according to their specific needs

• Suggest additional peripheral add-on items

• Provide customers with pricing and warranty information

• Educate customers in the use of selected computers and answer their questions

• Assist customers in understanding how to maximize the use of software features

• Negotiate prices and assist customers through the payment procedures

• Ensure that adequate computer merchandise is available in inventory

• Ascertain that computer systems, auxiliary equipment and accessories are neatly displayed

Key Qualifications

- Previous sales experience in a technical sales or related field and/or previous customer service experience

- Excellent listening and oral communication skills

- Extensive knowledge of computer and technology products

- Passion for assisting others

- Willingness to approach customers, great and offer assistance

- Problem solving and the ability to remain calm under pressure

- Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented company

- Must be able to work every Saturday shift from 9-5

- Ability to stand for long periods of time, push, pull or move objects of at least 25 pounds

Hours:

Thursdays and Fridays 4-7, Saturdays 9:00am – 5:00pm and occasional shifts when required

Your must have transportation as there is very little bus service
