Job Description
THE JOB: Doug Coleman Trucking Ltd. is seeking a Human Resources Clerk to add to the team at the London Head Office. This is an entry-level position that is ideal for a recent HR graduate.
RESPONSIBILITIES: As the HR Clerk at Doug Coleman Trucking, you will be responsible for:
-Recruiting drivers to add to our fleet.
-Providing orientation training for new drivers – conducting reference checks, entering drivers into computerized dispatch systems, and constructing employee files.
-Acting as a liaison between Doug Coleman Trucking Ltd. and staffing agencies contracted to the company.
-Assisting the VP – Operations in any labour relations matters.
-Assisting in the new employee hiring process.
-Any administrative/clerical functions regarding Human Resources.
-Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Experience working in a computerized environment is a requirement!
-Must be highly accurate when data entering.
-Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
-Applicant should have strong keyboarding skills.
-Strong communication and reporting skills are required.
