Job Description
Summary of Duties
Under the direction of the Administrator or designate, performs clerical duties, answers and directs telephone inquiries, receives and directs visitors to the Home.
Work Performed
Receives and directs incoming telephone inquiries and provides related information about the division.
Receives and directs visitors and business representatives.
Performs a variety of clerical duties, including typing of correspondence and reports, sorting of records, filing and distributing mail.
Operates the public address system during emergencies.
Assists with, and is knowledgeable about prescribed fire procedures.
Receives cash and maintains accurate records of Pub ticket sales.
Books Para Transit for residents on weekends.
Receives and replaces staff sick-calls, as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience
Ontario Secondary School Diploma with a commercial option or equivalent.
Completion of a formal course of study reasonably related to the job supplemented by training or experience on the job.
Demonstrated proficiency in wordprocessing, spreadsheets and various software.
Demonstrated ability to deal with clients in a pleasant and courteous manner.
Minimum typing speed of 50 w.p.m.

Compensation and Other Information
Start: $19.29/hr
6 months or 910 hrs: $21.00/hr
12 months or 1820 hrs: $22.89/hr
18 months or 2730 hrs: $23.77/hr
24 months or 3640 hrs: $24.68/hr
30 months or 4550hrs: $25.58/hr
Annual salary rate: $40,132 - $53,225.
This posting is for (1) part-time permanent position.
This posting is for Day, Evening and Weekend Work. The successful applicant will be scheduled accordingly based off of the need of the Home.
