Engineering Product Specialist

SLEEGERS Engineered Products Inc. (sleegers.ca) is a London based, rapidly expanding North American supplier of engineered solutions for the pressure vessel and propane industries. SLEEGERS has over 50 years of experience providing outstanding service and exceptional quality. With three facilities in London, ON, we design and produce a wide scope of engineered solutions. Our work ranges from the design and production of bulk propane tanks and large-scale water purification systems to the design and maintenance of propane terminals.

Consistent with our continued growth, we are recruiting a highly motivated, practical, and detail oriented Engineering Product Specialist to join forces with our engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure that we deliver only superior quality product. In this critical role, the successful candidate must have demonstrated practical fabrication experience with the ability to multi-task and work in a cross-functional team environment. 


Key Responsibilities
  • Remain current with best practices, legislative changes, and industry standards
  • Mechanical design of pressure vessels, piping systems, and fluid handling equipment
  • Communicate with both internal and external customers on site
  • Travel to project locations and interact with customers on site 
  • Accept ownership of assigned projects and follow through to completion 
  • Develop and maintain technical and commercial documentation of project work
  • Strong attention to detail and an aptitude for development of engineered solutions 

Education & Experience
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing) with a manufacturing focus 
  • Two years of experience working with minimal oversight in a related role is preferred, but not required
  • Practical welding knowledge and ASME BPVC, CSA B51, and CSA B149 experience is preferred 
  • Experience in probabilistic risk analysis is considered an asset
  • Experience in 2D drafting and 3D modelling, preferably in SolidWorks and AutoCAD 
  • Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software 
  • Experienced with MS Office 2010 software 
  • Bilingual capacity in both English and French is considered an asset
