BASIC FUNCTION:
 
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electrician is responsible for, but not limited to, diagnose and remedy any electrical problems in the plant.
 
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
 
Adheres to Technical System Procedures and Instructions.
 
Perform Electrical repairs in the plant and on the equipment, including electrical preventative maintenance.  Plant equipment includes: E-Coat system, Robotic Weld Cell (ABB Robots), Stand-alone Spot weld fixtures, automated controls / PLCs.
 
Complete Electrical Work Orders
 
Performs other electrical duties assigned generally or specifically.
 
Actively involved in Continuous Improvement activities.
 
Knowledgeable of safe working practices.
 
Maintain a safe and tidy work area.
 
Ensure the standards of Section 28 of the OHSA are met.
 
Performs other duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Ontario Electrician Trades Certificate.
Experience with automated controls, PLC's and Robotics is a strong asset.
