GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
- Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
- Remaining current in the field of study and maintain awareness of emerging trends and practices related to teaching and learning in higher education
- Strong network of contacts with other professionals, agencies and employers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Committed to excellence in teaching and learning, and to working within a team environment
- Master's degree in Interior Design or a related discipline
- NCIDQ certified
- LEED AP preferred
- BCIN would be an asset
- Minimum 5 years practical experience related to the field of study
- Experience in teaching and curriculum development at the post-secondary level preferred
- Highly effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of current industry software such as AutoCAD, 3D Modeling (Revit, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max) Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, video editing)
