Allen Professional Search, London office, is looking for Production Supervisors for a Tier 1 Automotive facility in the London area. This is a permanent opportunity with a salary range of 55-60K and benefits.

Expectations:

•           Demonstrate above average leadership skills that include solid communication abilities, both oral and written; showcase a “lead by example” strength to uphold the company’s business vision & mission while supporting production requirements

•           Prove comfortable, knowledgeable and experienced in both union and non-union environments; have strong knowledge of: progressive disciplinary procedures or performance corrective actions and conflict resolution with the knowledge and ability to draft/ maintain appropriate documentation

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

•           Manage production staffing requirements to support daily production goals

•           Mentor new employees; assist with cross training needs and assess potential superstars

•           Must be conversant and comfortable with software programs such as MS office; able to document and report information as required to senior management

•           Administer and oversee compliance with the H&S act within the workplace

•           Manage employee performance through evaluation, corresponding actions and training as required; maintain scheduled evaluations, draft and submit appropriate documentation as required

•           Work closely with team members and communicate clearly on a regular basis the goals and activities expected of the associates

Qualifications:

•           College diploma in manufacturing and /or related field

•           Minimum of 2 years experience within Tier 1 or 2 automotive manufacturing

•           3-5 years in a supervisory role managing groups of 12 50 people per shift in any or all these environments: ISO/ TS/QS; union & non union

•           Have a clear understanding of the Occupational H&S act

•           Be available for rotating or continental shifts as required

•           Demonstrate knowledge of Lean manufacturing
