Through a team approach, the Educational Assistant will assist the student(s) and their teacher(s) with the academic program in a manner that facilitates the emotional, social and academic growth of the student(s) according to their individual and collective needs.  In addition to the specific areas mentioned in the postings, the Educational Assistant is assigned to the school location and therefore may be assigned duties outside the posting as deemed necessary by the Principal.
 
Basic qualifications:
Transcriber. Working with a visually impaired student. Completion of a two (2) year Community College diploma such as Developmental Services Worker (DSW). **MUST HAVE INTRODUCTION TO BRAILLE AND CONTRACTED BRAILLE AND EXPERIENCE TRANSCRIBING IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION**
