Job Description

Affirm Financial Services is a rapidly growing finance company based in London, Ontario that provides credit card and term loan products to customers across Canada. Currently we have a vacancy for Full Time Customer Service Credit Specialist who will provide exceptional customer service and credit advice to new and existing clientele. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role is part of a team of Term Loan and Credit Card Specialists, accountable for meeting monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals of the company. This team is critical in supporting the sales and strategic marketing activities of the company, processes are designed to achieve these goals.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Answer telephone calls from potential customers who have been solicited through direct mail advertising, Internet inquiries and referrals from a network of sources.
• Outbound calls or reply in writing to correspondence from customers, including e-mail replies, on the status of their lending applications.
• Responsible for providing timely and accurate guidance and services to existing clients and prospective clients, through a variety of networks and calls in response to internet applications and as part of our telemarketing efforts
• Educate customers regarding credit card accounts and term loans ensuring that customers are referred to the appropriate department for their inquiry to be handled in a timely manner
• Compile and maintain all required paperwork, records and documents, including verifying and updating all pertinent information
• Handle the most complex customer and inquiries regarding their credit application.
• Explain policies and procedures and assist customers in resolving problems in a timely manner
• Follow systems and procedures outlined in company manuals, adjusting sales scripts to better target the needs and interests of specific individuals
• Achieve departmental sales targets through recommendation of appropriate products and services
• Maintain up to date knowledge of industry developments

Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year customer service /sales experience with previous credit experience preferred
• Comfortable in a goal driven environment
• Desire and personality to do telephone sales with excellent telephone skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions and resolutions required
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Flexibility with shifts, 8 am to 10 pm, Monday – Saturday
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and credit check
