Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Bookkeeper for a part-time position at our law firm.

Key skills that are required include:

* Minimum 5 years' experience as a legal bookkeeper
* Proficient in Office 365 and PC Law

Responsibilities include:
 
  • Provide monthly and annual financial reports
  • Posting trust and general receipts
  • Preparing cheques, biweekly payroll, T4’s and monthly remittance
  • Posting disbursements to client files
  • Entering and processing accounts payable
  • Billiing files, sending and preparing invoices and accounts to clients
  • Preparing and sending tax change notices
  • Monitoring and collecting accounts receivables
  • Preparation of Law Society of Ontario transaction levy reports and payments
  • Preparation of HST reports and payment
  • Post time entries of lawyers
  • Reconciliations of all accounts including General, Trust and credit card
  • Preparing Law Society of Ontario annual report
  • Preparing PC Law reports as required
  • Other tasks as required
