Manager of Accounting
Canaccede Financial Group, a successful London based Consumer Finance Business, is looking for a Manager of Accounting with experience in a multi-company, multi-jurisdictional environment.
The successful incumbent will work as a member of our accounting and finance team, managing our day to day accounting and treasury functions as well as our internal and external reporting requirements to our stakeholders. This position reports to our Director of Finance and is integral to building depth and strength in our team.
Responsibilities:
· Managing day to day financial and accounting activities, including leading the accounting team
· Organizing and managing the annual budget process
· Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages including variance analysis
· Preparing for, and extensive involvement in, the external audit and reporting process
· Participating in the development and enhancement of the company’s accounting policies and procedures
· Responsible for tax compliance with Federal, Provincial and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes
· Has the responsibility of maintaining effective financial controls for the organization’s accounting and banking systems
Requirements:
· Minimum 10 years accounting experience at a senior level (including minimum 5 years in a supervisory capacity)
· Extensive knowledge of Simply Accounting, Excel, Word and other Microsoft and business applications/tools
· Proven ability in dealing with detail in operations and in producing accurate, timely reports and analysis
· Canadian and US Corporate tax compliance experience
· Able to build and maintain lasting relationships within the accounting department and with other company departments and leadership
· High degree of organization and precision in the performance of your daily activities and those of the accounting team
· Experience in Consumer Finance industry and or in the debt purchase industry is highly preferred
· Professional accounting designation is required

· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
· Ability to meet tight deadlines with accuracy
· Ability to think and act operationally
· Strong computer skills, including Simply Accounting
