Marketing Associate
Reports to - Marketing Communication Manager

Overview
The Marketing Associate will help to build strategy and own the execution of assigned programs/campaigns. He/she will own business requirement gathering, development, maintenance and training of marketing program/process to meet identified promotions or client engagement goals. This role has a high involvement with research, sales, and IT departments. She/he brings to the position expertise in digital marketing and promotion programs, and excellent interpersonal skills. This role will require extensive experience with marketing automation software, preferably with Marketo.  The role will also entail an ongoing management of a webinar program, which will involve completing a series of ongoing tasks regularly to drive to drive research participation. The incumbent will also be responsible for being involved in managing certain elements of our weekly distribution emails to our members. 


Responsibilities
Working with marketing staff, he/she will be accountable for:
• Building and maintaining CRM programs to promote member booking of analyst calls, workshops, beta zero cost workshops and research participation.
• Designing and optimize email layout, building content/theme calendar by segment, building segmented email campaign, pulling lists, testing, deployment of emails and analytics.
• Driving registration and attendance at the Live Collaborations for every research project each cycle (assisting in determining project topics and timeline, building Marketo Event for Live Collaborations, optimizing and improving programs).
• Driving booking of Beta workshops each cycle, mapping current process and identifying gaps, planning and building marketing campaign, testing and analysis)
• Providing occasional support to email campaign requests (i.e. survey requests)


Requirements
• Four-year college diploma or university degree in Marketing, Business, Communication or related area.
• 3+ years online marketing automation experience required – preferably with Marketo.
• B2B marketing experience preferred
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Demonstrated high-level copy writing skills (print, email, web)
• Background in IT is an asset.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
• Highly self-motivated and directed
• Demonstrated skills to handle many assignments simultaneously where tasks will involve ongoing repetition.
• Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce.com) and Marketing Automation systems (Marketo) is a strong plus.
• Business requirements development and project management experience a strong asset
• Occasional to frequent evening and weekend work to meet deadlines
• Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings
• Some travel may be required for the purpose of customer contact or event attendance
