Job Description
Muslim Resource Centre for Social Support and Integration (MRCSSI) is a non-profit social service organization in London, Ontario providing a range of culturally integrative family violence prevention and intervention supports and services that build capacity to help individuals, families and communities to overcome challenges, manage conflict and ensure safety and well-being. Our work in the community involves public education and capacity building strategies, community engagement and programming, advocacy, early intervention, counselling and critical intervention services.
We are seeking an Operations Manager who, at the direction of the Executive Director, will manage the day-to-day operations of our organization. This position is accountable for all aspects of financial management, human resources management, information technology and overall organizational effectiveness. Working closely with the Executive Director, the Operations Manager helps to execute the strategic priorities of the agency and works collaboratively to anticipate and help to resolve issues that act as a barrier to the optimal delivery of services and programs. This is a full-time role (35 hours per week during our office hours, 9 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday).
You will be successful in this position if you possess the following qualifications:

Post secondary degree or diploma in business, management or related field

Advanced accounting and financial management skills

Experience with and/or knowledge of human resources best practices and/or IT troubleshooting

Demonstrated collaborative leadership and project management skills
-
Advanced computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office, G Suites (Google Apps) and bookkeeping software
-
Proven ability to maintain a high attention to detail while keeping a view of the big picture simultaneously

Experience in the social services and not for profit sector is preferred
A summary of the responsibilities include:

Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission - specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.

Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of support services (HR, Information Technology and Finance), through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.

Play a significant role in long-term planning, including initiatives geared toward operational excellence.

Oversee overall financial and grant management, planning, systems and controls. This includes working with the project teams to ensure resources are available for the timely completion of deliverables including any grant reporting.

Management of agency budget in coordination with the Executive Director.

Development of individual program budgets.

Human resources including various tasks within the hiring process, onboarding and administration of employees. Payroll management, including tabulation of accrued employee benefits.

Regular meetings with Executive Director and the management team around programs planning.
