Job Description
Installation/Service Technician
Reporting to: Service Manager

Position General Summary
The Service/Installation technician will assist their crew in installing farm equipment ranging from; grain handing, hog, and dairy equipment, and other jobs that require installation and service. Work will be completed in a professional and safe manner. After training on equipment the technician will provide service to existing operations. Other Duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop a firm understanding of all equipment and installation procedures.
- Load and prepare tools and equipment for the assigned job, and tasks to be completed.
- Perform duties that are required on the job site in a safe manner
- Complete daily work orders describing work completed and materials used
- Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment
- Operates a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products
- Handles dangerous goods and hazardous products using appropriate safety equipment
- Ensures safety rules and regulations are being followed, using proper safety equipment when necessary
- Reliable transportation to and from work required. Not located on a bus route.
- Repetitive bending, crouching, and lifting while carrying heavy loads, and must be comfortable working at heights
Installation Duties
- Duties will vary depending on work being performed for each site. Duties may include, but are not limited to;
- Cut, bend, and lay rebar
- Pour concrete pads
- After training will be able to properly build grain bins
- Installing housing, and manure equipment in hog and dairy barns, as well as milking equipment in dairy barns
- Responsible for matching required parts/product to specific job sites
- Other duties as assigned
Service Duties
- Follow up on daily service calls from customers
- Travel to site requiring service and troubleshoot the issue
- Quickly adapt to different situations
- Work in a safe and professional manner
- Assist customers in troubleshooting issues
- Review work completed with customer
- Complete work orders
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in agriculture preferred but not required.
- First Aid, WHMIS, Forklift Operator, Aerial Lift, and Fall Arrest certification will all be seen as assets, but training can/will be arranged.
- Work Conditions and Physical Requirements: fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, bending, crouching, kneeling, working at heights, able to use tools and equipment safely.

5 positions available working full time 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday, hours may vary depending on work site.
Overtime and early starts will occur. Wage is dependent on experience, qualifications, and knowledge, and will range from $13 - $20+
