Job Description

On behalf of our client in London, ON, we are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk on a full time, one year contract basis.

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
  • Maintain the accounting and administration for all accounts payable and related functions
  • Perform accounts payable duties including account coding, payment authorization, monthly and daily cheque runs
  • Verify received purchase orders with vendor invoices for accuracy
  • Present inquiries and/or complaints
  • Assist in any special projects at the discretion of the Controller
  • Assist as back up for reception in his/her absence
Key Qualifications:
  • Completion of a College Diploma or University Degree in Accounting
  • 2-3 years of related experience and/or training
  • Strong skills in work planning, scheduling and interpersonal relations
  • Intermediate to Advanced level computer skills, including MS Excel and Accounting Software experience; Great Plains and/or Vantage preferred
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures
Compensation: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
 
Hours: Monday to Friday; 8:30am – 5:00pm
