Job Description

IS2 is looking for Assembly workers for a fast-paced growing company making superior quality doors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately read and follow production paperwork
  • Sub assembly and assembly of metal, wood and pvc components
  • Assemble, fit, glue, cut and secure components
  • Sanding/finishing products
  • Installation of hardware or preparation for shipping as specified
  • Installation of glass inserts into door panels
  • Keeping work station clean and organized
  • Following all safety practices relating to operation of equipment and work processes
  • Ability and willingness to help in other departments and doing “odd jobs” as required to meet the needs of the business

Working Conditions & Physical Capabilities:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs is an asset
  • Ability to work day shift or night shift as required to meet the needs of the business is an asset
  • Ability to work overtime and some weekends when required is an asset
  • Ability to work in a noisy, fast paced environment
  • Able to perform the physical requirements of the job, which may include: bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, twisting, lifting, performing repetitive tasks, walking and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Must have good manual dexterity and hand eye coordination to complete the job and safely work with a wide variety of hand tools

Experience:

  • This individual must be able to operate all of the following equipment efficiently and safely: router, chop saw, table saw, drills, air nailers, hand tools, tape measure
  • 1-year previous general labour experience an asset
  • Continuing education and experience related to door assembly, carpentry or wood working skills are an asset
