Autodata Solutions is looking for a Software Development Manager to join their London team!

 

Position Overview:

As a Development Manager at Autodata, you are responsible for the strategic and functional day to day leadership, departmental processes and career development of technical staff within a hybrid environment utilizing agile & waterfall methodologies.  Your focus will be to ensure our people are performing to their highest potential while meeting department objectives and company goals.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, coach, mentor and develop your staff (onshore & offshore) through direct and indirect leadership
  • Participate in interviews, onboarding of new employees, development of training programs, performance reviews and regular 1-on-1’s with your team
  • Provide technical oversight while leading delivery and ensuring adherence to SDLC processes
  • Liaise with Solution Consultants and Architects to implement the overall design approach and provide input into the Architectural Design Documents
  • Foster an environment that rewards the continuous improvement of code quality, dev processes and practices through creative ideas and a positive attitude 
  • Oversee resource delegation as well as timesheet reporting, vacation management, expense management, etc

 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in software development firms (with at least 5+ years in a leadership role)
  • Experience working in a variety of software languages and technologies including: Java, Spring (MVC, Boot, Data, Batch), Javascript (various frameworks), C#, SQL, MongoDB, Maven, ORM (MyBatis), Linux, Tomcat, Apache 
  • Strong object oriented pattern concepts, design patterns, relational database concepts and responsive design
  • Superior interpersonal, people management and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor new and experienced staff members
  • Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
  • Exceptional analytical, evaluative and conflict resolution abilities
