Lucas Professional Search Group is recruiting for an energetic and innovative System Engineer/Solutions Architect to join our client’s team located in Waterloo, ON. The successful candidate will seek to provide innovative solutions to their client’s toughest High Performance Computing (HPC) problems.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Support Field Sales with client interaction on new HPC/I.T. project’s
• Solution architecting
• Effectively and efficiently integrate, configure and test hardware and software related to HPC cluster solution’s
• Provide post deployment client support
• Research and evaluate emerging new HPC technologies including prototyping and proof of concept solution performance testing.
• Collaborate on technical exchanges with client experts
• Work in a cohesive team environment to develop innovative and creative solutions

Technical Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related field is preferred
• Strong knowledge of all Linux system tools
• 3 plus years of C++ software development
• Experience in debugging and unit testing of distributed or parallel programs including benchmarking
• Parallel programming, CUDA/Open CL Development
• Strong ability to communicate effectively and professional with customers
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to successfully manage multiple accounts during implementation of new technology into very complex projects
