Our client Haas Enterprises is currently seeking a permanent, full-time Materials Coordinator.

Job Summary:
The Materials Coordinator is directly responsible for the activities pertaining to purchasing, inventory management, data entry, and receptionist duties. In addition, this position will support production and operations with work order creation, production batching and generating the required shipping documentation. Transportation logistics is also part of this job responsibility.

This position requires due-diligence with respect to ensuring purchased items are in-house in order to meet defined production schedules. You will ensure the quality and workmanship of purchased items are in line with quality objectives of the Company. You will be directly responsible to ensure the overall cost efficiencies of your department are optimum, and be instrumental with implementing progressive changes as defined by Management. The Materials Coordinator must interact with all staff and production associates in a supportive and co-operative manner. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities :

Purchasing:
-Generating RFQ’s and select vendors based on best price / delivery / quality.
-Actively seek new suppliers to support cost saving initiatives.
-Verifying all material receipts with the original PO and customer invoices (zero invoicing errors).
-Material purchases include steel sheet stock, bar stock, structural steels, hardware & fasteners.
-MRO purchases include maintenance & repair items, operating supplies, hand tools, production consumables.
-Out-services purchases include machining, roll forming, metal finishing processes (anodizing, galvanizing, etc).

Inventory Management:
-All raw materials, hardware and fastener, Haas stock fabricated items.
-Facilitate internal kanban processes.
-Implement effective cycle count processes to ensure parts availability to support production schedules.
-Oversee cycle count activities for the Husky warehouse and resolve all discrepancies in a timely fashion.
-Coordinate the annual fiscal year end physical inventory.

Data Entry:
-Enter all incoming orders into our business system (E2 – Shop Tech).
-Verifying accuracy for pricing, drawing revisions, product and colour codes.
-Updating E2 with customer reschedules.
-Generating customer acknowledgements.
-Create internal part numbers for new inventory items and update / maintain E2 with correct pricing, vendors, lead-times etc.

Customer Onsite Warehouse:
-Complete all inventory transaction for inbound and outbound items.
-Communicate with the Customer and resolve all inventory discrepancies.
-Download daily Outbounds reports and update the reports with inventory status and warehouse locations.
-Complete the appropriate export documentation for all spare parts orders and coordinate with logistics.

Production and Operations Support:
-Generate shop packages which include Job Travelers, bill of materials and manufacturing drawings.
-Create shop batches based on defined production schedules.
-Generate purchase orders and delivery tickets for all out-services and coordinate with the applicable vendor
-Generate packing slips for all completed orders / shipments.
-Coordinate all transportation logistic for in / out bound freight.
