Job Description
We are a logistics company that has been in the transportation industry for over 20 years supporting the automotive sector.
Fleet Coordinator-- Afternoons
The main focus of this role is to manage our equipment from a tracking and customer service focus - truck, trailers, satellite equipment etc to ensure optimum utilization, proper maintenance and timely repairs to our units .
You will be working in a team environment and supporting the fleet department in all of our markets to ensure our equipment is up and running efficiently to meet our customer expectations.
Job Responsibilities include:
Working with dispatch to ensure drivers have the proper equipment to meet our customer expectations and complete runs in a timely manner- requesting of sub units as required to meet our business obligations
Responsible for handling haul breakdown issues partnering with service vendors, towing services etc.
Completing daily yard checks – truck and trailer updates, odometer readings, visual safety check of our equipment, ensuring yard is plowed and maintained, equipment is driver ready and properly maintained
Tracking of our equipment and analyzing our units for efficiency and cost effectiveness
Understanding our equipment inventory in all of our markets and ensuring units are properly maintained and managed
Managing damage claims to our equipment – submitting reports, tracking of fuel consumption, fuel pricing tracking and comparisons
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of fleet experience- strong mechanical aptitude required
AZ license with 2 years of verifiable driving experience
Strong understanding of MTO rules and regulations
Ability to communicate with various groups - drivers, dispatchers, management and vendors
Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
Intermediate Computer skills - Word, Excel and Outlook required
