GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
- Innovative and lifelong learner
- Excellent communicator
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
- Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required
- Teaching experience with hybrid and/or online delivery preferred
- Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently registered as a nurse with the province of Ontario
- Relevant Bachelor's degree required
- Developmental Services Worker diploma preferred
- Relevant Master's degree or currently enrolled in a relevant Master's program preferred
- Minimum 5 years of recent and relevant experience working in the health care field and with people with developmental disabilities
- Successful teaching experience at the post-secondary level is preferable
- Preference will be given to candidates prepared to teach courses specific to developmental disabilities and health
