DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Ability to perform the duties of a Line Maintainer, Service Person, Line Supplier or Line Packer as required.

These duties include but are not limited to the ability to:

  • Assist in routine Preventative Maintenance of equipment
  • Troubleshoot packaging equipment components
  • Assist in the performance of routine size changeovers
  • Perform required sanitation procedures on equipment and work area
  • Perform heavy lifting as required
  • Assist in the generation and tracking of production statistics
  • Assist in the training of new team members
  • Meet or exceed production performance standards
  • Maintain quality standards by performing required monitoring and record keeping
  • Must work cooperatively with other employees to ensure quality and productivity is maintained
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent and successful passing of basic qualification testing
  • Additional education in a related field would be an asset
  • Ability to work afternoon or midnight shift
  • Ability to upgrade current skill set through available internal and external educational opportunities
  • Relevant mechanical experience would be a definite asset
  • 2 years’ experience operating automatic and semi-automatic filling and packaging equipment preferred
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy in completion of necessary paperwork and data input
  • Maintain quality and productivity standards
  • Ability to identify Work In Process (WIP) and packaging material problems
  • Ability to work overtime, pre-shift and weekends when required
  • Flexibility to work other shifts and on other lines as required
  • Experience with SAP and Forklift Certification is a definite asset
