Our client in the London / St. Thomas area; are looking to bring on a full-time
Maintenance Technician to fill a role in the client’s Tool & Die department.
Maintenance Technician to fill a role in the client’s Tool & Die department.
It is the job of Maintenance Technician to carry out tooling inspections, repairs, general maintenance, and modifications of the machines and equipment. This individual would equally be responsible for the assisting in the design and building of new tooling and engineering changes.

- Builds, services, maintains, repairs, installs and tests new or existing equipment or tooling, and verifies conformance to specifications.
- Troubleshooting of process problems and completes quality improvements as required to maintain part standards of quality.
- Modify tooling as per FEC procedures.
- Fit and assemble or disassemble parts using hand tools
- Machine, fit and assemble casting and other parts to make precision models of required shape such as metal patterns, core boxes and match plates.
- Test completed tools, dies, jigs or fixtures for proper operation.
- Support cross-functional repairs to equipment that includes Electrical, Mechanical, and Tooling provided it could be done safely.
- Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery.
- 430A certificate – Tool & Die
- Completion of Grade 12 Diploma or Equivalency program
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Industrial Journeyman required
- Flexible schedule and ability to do shift work required to meet the customers’ requirements
- Ability to pick up Over Time that is un scheduled to support business needs
