Job Summary:
The Associate Marketing Manager, under the direction and supervision of Sales & Marketing Director, is responsible for fostering growth for the various JA Macdonald businesses by developing, assisting and implementing regionalized, national, and/or international marketing initiatives as it relates to the individual companies.  The incumbent will be a key contributor and take lead role on managing initiatives including brand building, development and deployment of marketing collateral, essential administrative tasks such as website and lead management, and providing sales support.  The incumbent will be the key point of contact with the company’s 3rd party marketing/design firms and will be accountable to ensuring these firms meet the company’s requirements for quality, timeliness and value-for-money.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assumes lead roles on tactical programs and/or projects.
  • High level contribution to the design, development, deployment, and management of website content, sales tools, marketing communications, educational pieces, and promotional materials.
  • Ability to effectively engage with a variety of marketing media and vehicles to include but not limited to PowerPoint, social medial, photography, videography, social media, on-line advertising, print advertising,  direct mail campaigns, email campaigns, and trade shows.
  • Fulfills sales and marketing needs for field representatives, architects, specifiers, contractors, and installers including but not limited to sales presentations, communication & educational pieces, literature & sample fulfillment, and programs.
  • Develop and manage budgets in support of the initiatives for each respective business unit.
  • Strong collaboration with CRM administrator to ensure data integrity.
  • Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by direct supervisor or management.
 
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position may have direct or indirect supervisory responsibilities.
 
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
  • The ideal candidate has three to five years of professional agency/multi-client management experience and/or working experience in the marketing department of a mid (plus $50M revenues) to large size consumer or business to business focused enterprise.
  • Demonstrated progression in job scope and responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Experience in website development and/or management.
  • Strong computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Exposure to budget management.
  • Graphic design experience or knowledge, a plus.
  • Photography and/or videography experience, a plus.
  • Strong copywriting and/or technical writing skills, a plus.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems, a plus.
  • Fluency in French. Spanish and/or Korean, a plus.

Physical Demands:
This role will involve the lifting and carrying of samples, setting up/taking down of trade show booths, carrying trade show materials and other duties that require the ability to lift up to 20 kilos comfortably
