Human Resources Supervisor

 What will you be doing?
This position will oversee the Human Resources function,
Identify, develop and implement HR strategy and workplace culture initiatives that support the organization’s strategic efforts. 
This role will oversee and implement continuous improvements to policies, processes and tools used in employee management ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices; from recruitment, screening, selection, orientation and on-boarding to retention, engagement, performance management, training as well as succession planning and termination. 
Provide coaching and advice to all staff on employee relations and labour relations, including but not limited to employment legislation, performance management, leaves of absences, discipline, etc.
Supervise the Human Resources Assistant including work assignment and performance management. 
Manage group benefits and employee leaves of absences, liaising with Scheduling and Payroll. 

 Education
College Diploma in Human Resources or related focus or equivalent experience and education
CHRL designation or enrolment in program

  • Advanced skills with Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and meet an array of deadlines within a tight time
  • Good sense of humour and strong team player
  • Relates with all levels of staff and to various external contacts including suppliers, government officials, and administrators of other organizations and members of the Board of Directors.
  • Tact, diplomacy, persuasion and patience.
  • Have the competency to work with others of diverse backgrounds regardless of their gender, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, physical and mental abilities, religious beliefs and socioeconomic class.
