Job Description
Our client in St. Thomas, ON is currently seeking a full-time Occupational Health Nurse
to join their team on a permanent basis. The selected candidate will provide emergency, first aid and follow up care to all employees as per medical directives and applicable operating system guidelines.

Duties (may include and not limited to):
- Provide primary care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, including assessments, intervention, follow up and referrals
- Cooperate with and act as a resource to develop and maintain a safe environment
- Design, develop, utilize, review and revise occupational health service programs, policies and procedures
- Anticipate and identify emerging health and safety issues and legislative changes and design appropriate service as applicable
- Document employee health care in accurate, comprehensive employee health records
- Initiate and manage short term disability claims and initiate the long term disability process as needed
- Assist and work in consultation with H&S Manager to ensure timely and successful return to work
- Complete daily/monthly reports and forms as required
- 3-5 years of Occupational Health Nursing experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- Certificated Occupational Health Certificate or participation in an Occupational Health program through a community college
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED Certificate
