Job Description
New United Goderich Inc. is located in Huron Park, Ontario and specializes in paint, interior, maintenance and avionics on large aircraft.
Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (“AME”), M1/M2 or both (possibility of full-time)
Reports to: President
Anticipated start date: 2 weeks
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week; days and possible swing shifts including evenings, nights, weekends; overtime may be necessary. Condition of employment is availability for all possible shifts.
Job Description:
• Perform or oversee work of others in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, regulatory requirements, special inspections, company policies, procedures, work orders and checklists
• Perform administrative duties as requested by the VP Maintenance
• Providing training to personnel as it relates to quality and maintenance functions
• Testing and troubleshooting of aircraft systems
• Certification of work in accordance with company and regulatory standards
• Completion of work orders, check sheets and other technical records in accordance with company procedures
• Prompt reporting of any accident, potential hazard or dangerous occurrence
• Provide recommendations that will improve the efficiency and affectively of work, and safety of the work place
• Lead by example and provide a positive role model for others to follow
• Organize and maintain clean shop and hangar work environments
• Work overtime from time to time as required and arranged by VP of Maintenance
• Other duties as assigned
Candidate Description:
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
• Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook
• Sound judgment, decision making, superior analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized, sound time management and multi-tasking abilities
Qualifications: High School Diploma; Completion of College, Vocational or Technical Training, AME Aircraft License, Categories M1/M2 (or both). Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Pay / Salary: Commensurate with experience.
Senior AME Apprentices are encouraged to apply and must possess a minimum of 1.5 to 2 years of relevant experience.
