Job Description
We are currently looking for a Full Time (min 30 hours /week) experienced Jr. Estimator/Project Coordinator to oversee the tendering process for new projects and manage projects once awarded to our company in the drywall industry.
Responsibilities for this position include, but not limited to the following:
-Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications and have a thorough understanding of construction documents.
-Research upcoming tenders on various sites.
-Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and submit by tender deadline.
-Attend site meetings as needed.
-Prepare accurate estimates for Change Orders throughout the project.
-Follow up on outstanding issues/paperwork with General Contractors.
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
-Graduate for a Construction Management program.
-Minimum 1 year experience as an estimator in commercial/retail/institutional construction.
-Prior experience working hands on in drywall construction will be considered an asset.
-Experience with estimating software.
-Knowledge of construction terms, processes and methods.
-Exceptional time management, verbal and communication skills.
-Attention to detail.
-Possess a drivers license in good standing.
-Excellent computer skills and knowledge.
-Ability to work independently and multi task.
