Our client, a leadingdigital media company, has immediate openings for experienced TechnicalSpecialist- Data Analytics. These are full-time, permanent positions located inLondon, Ontario. 

Experience:

·       Extensive knowledge workingwith Microsoft Azure ecosystem and strong knowledge about Synapse, ADLS, BlobStorage, Data Factory, SQL Server Warehouse

·       Experience using Azure MachineLearning (preferred) as well other analytics tool sets such as Dataiku, DataRobot, etc.

·       Strong technical experiencesupporting business visualization tool sets such as Tableau and Power BI (orsimilar tools)

·       Solid understanding andimplementation experience surrounding data model operation realization and support(i.e. build/promote/maintain data model pipelines) including performancemonitoring and scaling 

·       Demonstrated operational experiencein performing installation and upgrades for Tableau Server and dailyoperational support for end users

·       Strong SQL skills to understandcomplex queries and optimize them for performance across large volumes of data

·       Strong technical data analyticsexperience with a variety of RDBMS (i.e. SQL Server, DB2 LUW and zOS) andnon-relational systems (i.e. semi-structured and unstructured data)

·       Communication and presentationexperience with proven track record of using insights to influence executivesand colleagues

·       Strong background in Unix andWindows integrated environments

·       Understanding and experience onmultiple cloud platforms (i.e. AWS, GCP) is an asset

             

Primary Responsibilities:

·       Experience in key aspects ofplatform performance and availability monitoring and administration in a 24x7production environment

·       Assisting users, when required,in troubleshooting data model errors and data model execution issues

·       Strong communication and presentationskills with a high degree of comfort with large and small technical audiencesincluding ability to influence senior level executives
Collaborate with business partners and other specialists to ensure that thetools and technology platform can support the analytics requirements.

·       Optimize the delivery ofproduction reports by identifying performance and time reduction opportunitieswithin the existing reporting process

·       Assist in managing day-to-dayresults, reporting and visualization for major corporate initiatives
