Agilus is recruiting for a Job Developer in the Employment Services Industry in Tillsonburg, Ontario.
The Job Developer will be initiating and maintaining professional ongoing effective relations with clients, perspective employers, community businesses, industry, and agencies to facilitate client placement, employer services and training incentives.
A typical day:

• Initiating, building, and maintaining effective relations with clients, employment counsellors, employers and other community agencies to develop, market, negotiate and secure employment opportunities
• Mentoring and supporting clients by providing opportunities for development of abilities, skills and job performance, to help facilitate maximum career potential to match employer’ expectations
• Maintaining contact with clients, employment counsellors and employers addressing issues, complaints or concerns during the initial stages of employment, as well as provide further support as required
• Mentoring and support clients by providing opportunities for development of abilities, skills and job performance, to help improve their career potential
• Monitoring current labour market trends to identify and satisfy employers’ needs and assist in recruitment, eligibility and mediating strategies
• Participating in agencies’ business employment service planning and development
• Accessing, allocating, and marketing the funders’ training incentives and plans within the community
• Networking, organizing, and attending related community meetings and events

The successful candidate brings:

• Experience in career planning, employment counseling and client case management
• Experience in networking, marketing and promotion with private, not for profit and governmental sectors
• Knowledge of employers, employment issues and local labour market trends
• Excellent interpersonal skills for marketing, mentoring, mediating and negotiating
• Excellent problem solving/decision making, research and organizational skills
• Degree and or Diploma in Career Development
• Course gained from community college or university classes, or in forms such as seminars, workshops, or correspondence programs
• Experience with programs and services provide by Employment Services and surrounding community
