Description of Responsibilities
- Responsible for proper operating of the WAN and LAN environment
- Secure network access points
- Ensure the operation of specialized application servers
- Install the hardware and software and the operating systems
- Perform upgrades of software and operating systems
- Supervise and/or plan and/or develop project implantation
- Provide troubleshooting to the 1st and 2nd level users
- Train users
- Maintain the PC data base and applications
- Suggest technical recommendations for software and equipment
- Document procedures
- Degree or college diploma in Information & Technology
- 5 to 7 years’ experience in a similar position
- Certified MCSE Windows NT/2000/2003
- High working knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Server and SQL Server
- Very good knowledge of communication protocols such as TCP / IP
- Experience of : RF, Client Access, OS400, GroupWise, WebSphere, Firewall is an important asset
- Bilingualism, English and French is an asset
- Strong skills in communications, project management and problem solving
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Technical writing skills
- Team Player
