Intermediate Underwriter / IBS Administrator Assistant Position Available!
In this dynamic dual role, you will require extensive insurance knowledge to successfully manage the role as an Intermediate Underwriter but you will also need the technical know-how to assume the additional responsibilities of IBS Administrator Assistant for our insurance software.
Those applying must be decisive, team focused, extremely detail oriented and have excellent computer, technical aptitude to be at your best within the role. In order to succeed in this role you must balance your insurance knowledge and experience with the technical abilities to be able to test the underwriting rules.
Your primary focus will be to work within the Property Underwriting Team as an Intermediate Underwriter. You will assist the Manager by handling the more complex property and farm policies and assisting the team overall with processing endorsements, renewals and/or writing new business to ensure service standards are met or exceeded as a department. You must become an expert within this role to be able to understand the secondary role as IBS Administrator Assistant.
Secondary responsibilities will include working closely with the Insurance Services Manager and Underwriting Teams to assist with the development of underwriting rules, implement and run testing, maintain system configurations, training others on system use as well as ongoing support to all users in our office.
Candidates will have strong industry knowledge gained through 5 to 10 years of related insurance experience resulting in subject matter and technical expertise. They should possess a college diploma or equivalent and a CIP/FCIP/CRM designation(s) would be considered an asset. Previous experience coaching, mentoring and training others is considered an asset.
A demonstrated ability to build relationships and deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external customers will be what separates you from the other candidates.
