STAFF VACANCY

Brescia University College (www.brescia.uwo.ca), a Catholic university college affiliated with Western University, is Canada’s only women’s university providing instruction to over 1,500 students. Working in our state of the art Marche and Dining Pavilion (the Mercato), Brescia is seeking an energetic and skilled individual to fill a position as:

COOK Part time- Friday, Saturday, Sunday

(October 2017 – April 2018 - $13.25/hour)

Receiving direction from the Executive Sous Chef and the Food Services Manager, duties will include the preparation of breakfast, lunch and dinner items; preparing short-order items as requested by customer; and maintaining a sanitary and safe work station.   

Required skills include: considerable knowledge of cooking and at least two years experience in a commercial or institutional environment; excellent customer service skills; attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills; ability to follow oral and written direction; knowledge of HACCP procedures and First Aid, CPR,  WHMIS and the Occupational Health & Safety Act. This is a weekend position covering Friday to Sunday hours only.

This is a part-time contract position until the end of April 2018. Spring and summer hours may be available with our Conference and Wedding business.
