While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee must regularly lift/move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift/ move up to 25lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and distance.

Language Skills
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to travel. The noise level in the work environment is quiet.

This team member is responsible for providing information technology helpdesk support throughout the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide information technology helpdesk support throughout organization
- Follow up with team member requests
- Provide assistance with IT Tickets
- Assist other members of IT department as necessary
Education
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience
- Working knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems (WinXP/7)
- Basic understanding of PC hardware
- Proficient in performing break/fix installations and upgrades
- Experience installing and troubleshooting software and hardware
- Working knowledge of desktop networking (wired and wireless)
- Extremely customer-oriented with excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to build excellent and friendly relationships with all team members
- Ability to follow up on assignments from senior members of the team, and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Excel at making the workload and request/service process visible via IT Helpdesk and follow up with team members
- Willing to learn and take initiative
- Basic understanding of foundational concepts such as DHCP, DNS, Email, Client-Server environments
- Functional understanding of Windows 7 Professional
- Ability to support various peripherals such as printers, hand scanners, etc.
- Thorough understanding and ability to support Microsoft Office Suite (2007-2013)
- Ability to support Lotus Notes considered an asset
- AS400 experience considered an asset

- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule
