Job Description
Brescia University College (www.brescia.uwo.ca), a Catholic university college affiliated with Western University, is Canada’s premier women’s university providing a rich educational experience to over 1,200 women students. Working in our state of the art Marche and Dining Pavilion (the Mercato), Brescia is seeking several energetic and skilled individuals to fill positions as:
Receiving direction from the Executive Sous Chef and the Food Services Manager, duties will include the preparation of breakfast, lunch and dinner items; preparing short-order items as requested by customer; and maintaining a sanitary and safe work station.
Required skills include: considerable knowledge of cooking and at least two years experience in a commercial or institutional environment; excellent customer service skills; attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills; ability to follow oral and written direction; knowledge of HACCP procedures and First Aid, CPR, WHMIS and the Occupational Health & Safety Act. A willingness to work flexible hours including some weekends and evenings will also be necessary.
These temporary positions will run until the end of the school year (April 2015) with possible extension into the summer of 2015.
