Coordinator, Strategic Sourcing
 
Medbuy’s Division of Strategic Sourcing is currently searching for a Coordinator, Strategic Sourcing for a position based in London, Ontario. The position will report directly to the Manager, Coordinator Strategic Sourcing and be responsible through all stages of initiative development and the ongoing maintenance of existing contacts.
 
DESCRIPTION
1. Operational Support
  • Participate in the planning and execution of the bi-annual members meeting
  • Provide project support as requested by the Manager or other departments within Medbuy
 2. Customer Service/Contract Maintenance
  • Liaise with members on contract issues, committee action items or related inquiries
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure accurate products, pricing and contracts for each contract
  • Maintain all strategic sourcing systems with up-to-date information for contracts
  • Develop and manage documentation pertaining to all assigned contracts consistent with Medbuy procedures
  • Participate as required, in the contracting process and supplier meetings to ensure complete knowledge of contracts in conjunction with the Manager, Strategic Sourcing
  • Provide contract expertise to other departments within Medbuy
3. Initiatives Strategic Sourcing
  • Liaise with members on initiatives, issues, committee action items or any Strategic Sourcing related inquiries
  • Participate as required, in the initiative process and supplier meetings to ensure complete knowledge of initiative in conjunction with the Manager, Strategic Sourcing
  • Maintain all strategic sourcing systems with up-to-date information for initiatives
  • Develop and manage documentation pertaining to all assigned initiatives consistent with Medbuy procedures
  • Schedule proponent meetings and or webinars relating to current initiatives
  • Schedule strategic working group / clinical expert group meetings with participating members
  • Provide initiative expertise to other departments within Medbuy
4. Additional Areas of Responsibility
  • Contribute to a positive office environment within the team and organization by adhering to Medbuy Team Principles
  • Participate in continuous learning through professional development opportunities
  • Assist with new staff training and orientation, as required
  • Work collaboratively with the Administrative Assistants on initiative and contract deliverables
Standard Skill(s) Required:
  • Knowledgeable in all facets of MS Office, specifically Excel / Pivot Tables
  • Demonstrated proficient communication skills both written and oral
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Demonstrated organizational / time management skills
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience and/or post-secondary degree/diploma/certificate in related field
