Rehab First Inc. has a rich legacy of client centered consulting and service delivery and is currently looking for an exceptional Rehabilitation Therapist to join our London team. Rehab First Inc. is a multidisciplinary rehabilitation treatment and assessment provider that operates throughout Southern Ontario.  We specialize in complex case management, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, counselling, rehabilitation therapy and life care planning for those who have been injured in motor-vehicle collisions, suffered injury on the job or who have disabling health conditions. We are committed to helping people rebuild their futures, to maintain their health and to reach their potential at home, work, school and in the community.

Responsibilities may include:
 
  • Development of treatment plans under Ontario’s Statutory Accident Benefit regulations
  • Development and implementation of home and community-based gym/exercise therapy programs
  • Work hardening and conditioning
  • Cognitive Therapy
  • Life Skills Training/Activities of Daily Living
  • Job coaching
  • Educational assistance
  • Ergonomic assessments
  • Social and Community reintegration
Qualifications:
 
  • A University degree in Kinesiology or similar area of study or a College diploma in Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant (OTA/PTA)
  • Previous experience with creating and implementing physical exercise programs is required
  • Previous experience with brain injuries is beneficial
  • Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle as the position is community based
  • Strong computer, written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to travel to local gyms or client’s homes
