We are currently hiring for an experienced Lab Technician to work at a leading food manufacturer in Woodstock ON. This is a permanent position that will be hired directly through our client. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducting routine laboratory analysis such as microbiological tests, taste tests and product shelf life evaluation
• Entry of all results in the appropriate electronic files
• Preparation and documentation of all lab results
• Troubleshooting quality problems
• Perform Quality Assuance checks to ensure all procedures are fully implemented
• Calibration of equipment when necessary
• Assisting with new product development as well as evaluation of all existing products
• Supporting the production and logistics departments with process improvement projects and acting as a resource when needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 1-3 years exprience in a food production facility or lab setting
• GMP and HACCP knowledge considered a strong asset
• Must be able to work well within a fast paced production environment and possess the ability to detect trends and react to make immediate corrections.
• Must be an independent worker, capable of following direction and applying learned knowledge to different applications
• Strong proficiency with computer skills and capabilities
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Post-secondary education in Food Science, Microbiology, Food Lab Technician 
• Must be able to work days, afternoons and midnights

• Competitive pay rate of $25.76 per hour
