Position: Human Resources Associate
Reporting to: Human Resources Supervisor
Status: Part – Time (17.5 hours per week)
Organization: WAYS Mental Health Support
WAYS Mental Health Support is an accredited children’s mental health centre that supports children, youth and their families throughout Southwestern Ontario. Since 1969, over 5,000 youth have lived in our group homes and thousands more have benefited from a variety of community programs. WAYS Mental Health Support has over 150 staff with a consolidated management team and a single board of directors.
At WAYS our mission is to engage with at risk children, youth and families through counselling, learning, skill development and advocacy to achieve healthy, independent lives and positive self-esteem. - Providing support to HR strategic initiatives and continuous improvement updates to policies and processes, as directed.
- Providing support to the HR Supervisor in ensuring training compliance with the agency’s policies and accreditation and licensing requirements.
- Providing analytical and investigative support for Labour Relations matters including employee complaints, grievance and arbitration support and for employee disciplinary activities.
- Managing employee information (including hardcopy and electronic files) ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and readiness for annual audit by funders and accreditors. Ensures timely and complete information sharing with the Scheduling & Payroll Assistant.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- A College Diploma (or be working towards a diploma) in Human Resources and will be working towards obtaining their CHRP designation.
- Advanced skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with HRIS systems would be considered an asset.
- Experience with the interpretation of ESA, Collective Agreements and/or company policies and procedures.
- Ability to provide service in French would be considered an asset.
