Position Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Performance and Customer Relations and working closely with the Accounting team, the Billing Clerk main duties will be to process all aspects of Checker processing, PTS ride closeouts, and related reports while answering all customer inquiries regarding billing discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

Billing

  • Price and close PTS rides
  • Run the wait time/weekly/exceptions proof
  • Reconcile PTS Independent Contractor statements
  • Add cash trips to PTS Independent Contractor debit memos
  • Processes C/C payments for Checker invoices
  • Mail Checker invoices to PAP/Corporate customers
  • Processes and reconciles third party credit card account changes daily and email/fax receipts
  • Creates and prices Checker invoices
  • Add/adjust Checker Independent Contractor transactions

Customer Service

  • Answer customer inquiries – via phone, e-mail, fax and in person
  • Issue credits/rebills for patient pay disputes
  • Checker invoice adjustments
  • Answer Independent Contractor questions
  • Sends vouchers monthly for accounts that have requested

Administrative

  • File and scan Transfer Call Reports for medical trips
  • Update and maintain procedure binder
  • File and scan third-party vouchers

What you bring:

  • College Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Recognized accounting designation or equivalent experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments at the same time and ability to work independently
  • Strong Microsoft Office Experience (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Clean Criminal Record Search
